Water
Paul using the MSR Microworks to filter dirty water from one Platy through the filter and into the clean Platy.
One important thing to point out here, it's easier to pump water from one container to another on a relatively comfy chair than it is to pump water from a stream into a container.
Yeah that's true enough, much easier to pump water in the comfort of your camp. The other advantages are you don't have to balance over streams with banks that crumble under your feet, you don't have to hang around getting eaten by the midges and other nasties. The other thing to mention is moving water is icy cold in winter and much harder to pump through water filters/pumps, so brining it back to camp and letting it stand for a few hours before you pump it into your clean water bag/bottles, it will be far easier to pump and our prefered way of water colection.
