Heres my attempt at the Hannah (pressurised alcohol) Stove. This one includes my own devised internal heat exchanger which theoretically helps the alcohol vapourise better.... need to conduct some more tests to prove this. Burn time was 15 minutes using 20 x 1mm holes and 2 pence over the presure release hole (didn't explode!). You can see how hot this baby burned, it discoloured the aluminium!

Just notice a simular idea on Zen Stove

Don't fancy sealing the unit though like the one in the link, I like the penny (or 2 pence) safety valve!
Looks neat and will be nice to see it running down the forest this winter :)
ReplyDeleteI looked at the penny over the hole idea, but I'm too nervous to build a stove that burns under pressure. I wanted to escape my Coleman stoves for that reason.
I was meant to of had a go at my own Hannah Stove, But actually forgot...
ReplyDeleteI even took the little one you gave me away with me this weekend and didn't even remember about it!
I'm such a Douche!
